Underwater Scenes

These underwater paintings take you beneath the surface: the view a swimmer sees looking up at sunlight breaking through the waves. It’s my favorite perspective to paint: the ceiling of the ocean in motion, shafts of light dissolving into blue, the quiet weightlessness of being underwater. Each underwater scene is an original oil on canvas, developed from my own time in the water and studies made at the beach.
