Hawaii Art

Hawaii changed how I see water. The Pacific there has a clarity and power unlike anywhere else: turquoise shallows over lava rock, long rolling swells, light that seems to come from inside the wave. My Hawaii  inspired ocean paintings begin as sketches made on the islands’ beaches and become finished oil paintings in my studio, each one an attempt to hold onto that particular Hawaiian light. Every painting is oil on archival canvas – varnished, signed, ready to hang – and ships worldwide with a Certificate of Authenticity.
